Since 2022, The Grass Foundation has also partnered with The Kavli Foundation to support fellows whose projects relate to neurobiology and changing ecosystems – a Kavli initiative exploring how human-caused environmental change challenges neural systems or reveals mechanisms of resilience. Kavli–Grass Fellows, part of the Grass Fellows cohort, investigate how environmental pressures such as temperature variability, ocean acidification, and pollution influence neural function, resilience, and evolution across species.
