The Grass Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2026 Grass Fellowship at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Massachusetts.
For this application year, the Foundation is piloting a new application process with a priority deadline and a final deadline. Applicants who apply by the priority deadline of October 15, 2025, have the opportunity to receive technical feedback from the Grass Foundation Trustees. Applicants then have until the final deadline of December 1, 2025, to amend their proposal based on received feedback.
Applicants will not be penalized for submitting after the priority deadline, so do not be alarmed if this earlier date is not feasible. The final deadline of December 1, 2025, is strategically placed after the Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting, which offers its own opportunities for potential applicants to meet with former Grass Fellows, Grass Foundation Trustees, and other community members.
The Grass Foundation will review all applications after the final deadline and notify applicants in January of 2026.
